52 degrees in the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, Merzouga. The best 4x4's by far were certainly needed when the cars could no longer progress over the 150m high dunes.
The Sahararan dunes were continuously changing colour as the sun sets and formed drifting sand valleys with nothing but desert as far as the eye could see. These pictures are taken on the route the Paris-Dakar rally passes through.
